Assemblymember Richard Pan is a nationally recognized university educator and health proponent in the legislature.
He’s built a career on inclusive principles, and not partisan politics, which makes Pan a supporter for the right of all voters to participate in our democracy.
During his career as a doctor, Pan has dedicated his efforts to connecting communities and health. He was a faculty member of UC Davis for medical education and physician workforce. During that time Pan also worked with the United Way California Capitol Region; was a board member for BloodSource; and helped on the Sacramento First 5 Commission.
As a legislator, Pan has established himself as a leader. He is Chair of the Health legislative committee, Vice-Chair of the California Assembly Veteran's Affairs Committee, and serves the legislative committees of Agriculture, Emergency Management, and Revenue & Taxation.
Pan also works on separate committees on Health, Aging & Long-Term Care, and Accountability & Administrative Review.
When asked about voters outside his party, the Harvard University Public Health Alumni and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, MD, responded, “I am a pediatrician, educator, and problem-solver who dedicated my career to improving the health and well-being of my patients and the communities that I serve.”
The Independent Voter PAC supports Pan, an award winning community leader and educator for all Senate District 6 voters.
