Assemblymember Ken Cooley has built a renowned public service career, starting with his position on Rancho Cordova’s first City Council in 2002. Cooley furthered his role in the advancement of Rancho Cordova when he was re-elected in 2004 and again in 2008. He served as mayor in 2005 and 2010, the year the city received national recognition as an All-America City.
He was elected to the California State Assembly in 2012 to represent Assembly District 8. Since, he has remained determined to improve jobs and advance sensible regulatory reforms.
In just over ten years, the city of Rancho Cordova added an estimated 10,000 new jobs. A feat that would not have been possible without leaders like Cooley who were willing to work beyond party lines.
His collaborative style to legislating has resulted in a number of legislative successes and his commitment to problem solving over partisan politics has allowed him to represent voters above party bosses. The Independent Voter PAC proudly endorses Ken Cooley for Assembly District 8.
