Mayor Eduardo Garcia has been an active member in Assembly District 56 since he was first elected to the Coachella City Council in November 2004.
As a life-long resident of Coachella, California, he is well-versed on the issues important to the community. Issues like water sustainability, growing jobs, and sound infrastructure planning.
In 2006, Garcia became Coachella’s first elected Mayor at the age of 29 and has held that office ever since. Under his leadership as mayor, Coachella City invested over 100 million dollars in public works projects.
Garcia continued his journey of public service when he graduated from the “Senior Executives in State & Local Government” Public Administration Program from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2008.
