Steve Glazer Wins SD7 Race

The Independent Voter PAC congratulates former Mayor of Orinda, Steve Glazer, for his victory in the May 19 special election for Senate District 7, which encompasses the communities of Contra Costa and Alameda county.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Glazer received 54.6 percent to Susan Bonilla's 45.4 percent.

On Facebook Glazer wrote,

"Today we saw that people are more important -- and more powerful -- than special interests, and that’s a great message for our state to hear. Our campaign struck a chord with voters frustrated by the gridlock and dysfunction in Sacramento. They want leaders who are more pragmatic than partisan, more focused on answers than ambition."
