Roger Hernandez | AD 48

Assemblymember Roger Hernández has spent the last four years representing Assembly District 48. He was first elected in November 2010 and re-elected in 2012. In that time, Hernandez has dedicated himself to representing the interests of AD 48's half a million constituents, not just those belonging to one political party, earning him the Independent Voter PAC's firm endorsement.

As Chair of the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment Hernández has worked relentlessly to protect California’s workers and businesses by chaptering bills like the Extended Labor Protections for Public Employees Bill (AB 195) and the Upholding Prevailing Wage for Construction Workers Bill (AB 514).

His commitment to his district and the state of California as a whole has resulted in 12 bills that were sent to the Governor, 11 of which were signed into law.

His willingness to work with both Republicans and Democrats in the Legislature to create meaningful change embodies a nonpartisan approach to politics, one that is sorely lacking in today’s political climate. For these reasons, the Independent Voter PAC is proud to endorse Assemblymember Roger Hernández for re-election in Assembly District 48.
