Jim Cooper Will "Cut Through" Partisanship in Sacramento

Jim Cooper has served his community for over 30 years, as a mayor, a highly decorated law enforcement officer, a City Councilmember, and currently serving as a Captain in the Sacramento Sheriff's Department.

In the race to represent Assembly District 9, which includes part of Sacramento and San Joaquin County, Cooper has proven to be the most qualified leader. His leadership experience includes his position as Elk Grove’s first mayor and his four terms on the City Council.

His hard work and commitment to represent all members of his district have been recognized by a long list of organizations, community leaders, elected officials, and individuals who have endorsed him.

Elk Grove Mayor Gary Davis writes:

“I've worked alongside Jim Cooper on Elk Grove City Council for nearly a decade and seen him cut through the partisanship and focus on finding solutions to move Elk Grove forward. Jim Cooper has helped build Elk Grove, created a police department and transportation system, and balanced 14 straight budgets. Jim Cooper is a tenacious, dedicated leader who will bring his years of experience and knowledge to the Assembly. I am proud to endorse Jim Cooper for Assembly.”
