Assemblyman Jones was first elected to represent California's 71st Assembly District in 2010. The 71st District covers much of eastern San Diego and Southern Riverside counties.
After four years in Sacramento he quickly made a name for himself as a principled advocate for the rights of all voters. A Santee resident since 1978, Jones has deep roots in the community he now represents.
His background in business in addition to local government experience as a Councilmember and Vice Mayor of Santee provides Jones with the tools he needs to make well-informed decisions and not rely on partisan talking points. As a consequence he has been a strong, independent voice for voters in Sacramento.
His first priority with another term in the Assembly is to promote opportunities for all Californian's regardless of party affiliation.
Brian Jones is the Independent Voter PAC's choice for Assembly District 71.
