Raul Bocanegra first took office in the California Legislature in 2012 where he quickly earned his reputation for building consensus. Through his proven leadership, Raul became Chairman of the Revenue and Taxation Committee.
As a long-time community leader, he secured passage of landmark legislation in 2014 to help generate over $4 billion in economic activity in the Valley. He also helped lead the effort to create California's Rainy Day Fund, which has been widely praised as a hallmark of fiscal responsibility.
