Solorio, Nguyen Debate in 34th State Senate District Race

Former state Assemblyman Jose Solorio and County Supervisor Janet Nguyen participated in a candidate forum, discussing their views on topics such as prison realignment, the bullet train, a statewide plastic bag ban and what they would do if California’s fiscal situation brightens.

From bi-partisan legislation promoting public safety, to his dedication to improving the education system, to fighting for jobs in California, Solorio has a long history of enacting laws that strengthen California’s economy and help California residents succeed.

When asked about November, Solorio was optimistic.

“The turnout is greater in November; we’re going to push for that,” he said. “We will go after every voter with radio, print, direct mailers and conservative talk radio. This is a top primary race and we have the resources to wage a strong, aggressive campaign.”
