Assemblymember Don Wagner was elected to the California Assembly in 2010 to represent Assembly District 68, serving Anaheim, Irvine, Lake Forest, North Tustin, Orange, Tustin, and Villa Park.
Before his time in Assembly, Wagner served three terms on the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees and served as Board President for six terms. Under Don's leadership the Community College District balanced every budget and paid off all its debts, without raising taxes.
He has since worked across party lines to pass meaningful legislation in Sacramento. In 2014, he worked with Orange County Republicans and Democrats to ensure the creation of a veteran’s cemetery in Orange County. "We owe it to the servicemen and women and their families to have a place of memorial close to home, and I am proud to have co-authored this important piece of legislation,” he said.
Assemblymember Wagner has earned the support of an overwhelming majority of Orange County Supervisors, despite running against their former colleague John Moorlach.
“Don has my support because he’s not a politician, he’s a reform-minded citizen who puts common-sense results ahead of political grandstanding.” - Supervisor Do
The Independent Voter PAC is proud to endorse Don Wagner in the March 17th special primary election for Senate District 37.
